Return and Refund Policy

At My Golden Lanka, we strive to provide high-quality products imported directly from China. We understand that sometimes you may need to return an item. This Return and Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which returns and refunds are accepted.


1. Eligibility for Returns

You may request a return within 7 days from the date you received your order if the item meets one of the following conditions:

  • The product is defective or damaged upon arrival.
  • The product is significantly different from what was described on our website.
  • You received the wrong item.

Note: Returns are only accepted for the reasons mentioned above. We do not accept returns simply because you changed your mind.


2. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Custom-made or personalized products
  • Items that have been used, modified, or damaged by the customer
  • Products without original packaging and tags
  • Sale or clearance items (unless defective)

3. Return Process

To initiate a return, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact us within 7 days of receiving your order via email or WhatsApp.
  2. Provide your order number, photos of the product, and reason for return.
  3. Our team will review your request and provide return instructions (if approved).
  4. Ship the item back to the address we provide.
  5. Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will notify you about the status of your refund.

4. Refunds

  • Refunds will be processed within 20–30 business days after we receive and inspect the returned item.
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.
  • If the item is found to be defective or incorrect, we will cover the return shipping cost.
  • In all other approved cases, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

Important: Refunds will only be issued after the returned product has been received and inspected by our team.


5. Exchanges

We currently do not offer direct exchanges. If you wish to exchange an item, you will need to return the original item (following our return policy) and place a new order for the desired product.


6. Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective product, please contact us immediately (within 48 hours of delivery) with clear photos of the damage. We will work with you to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, which may include a replacement or refund.


7. Return Shipping Costs

  • Defective or Wrong Item: We will cover the return shipping cost.
  • Change of Mind: The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.
  • We recommend using a trackable shipping service when returning items.
